At Shepherds Academy in Zomba, Malawi, we serve Malawian churches by training gospel ministers to serve with humility and biblical faithfulness.
Young men across Malawi can study for two years in Chichewa without any educational prerequisites. Students meet for two 6-week semesters each year and participate in ministry activities between semesters.
The Academy program is focused on discipleship and ministry preparedness for men called to serve in rural areas. Upon completion, students graduate Shepherds Academy with a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry.
Through a partnership with Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Spurgeon College in the United States, Shepherds Academy offers courses available for credit toward undergraduate and masters degrees.
Students may accomplish up to ⅓ of their degree at Shepherds Academy and then complete their degree either online or in Kansas City, Missouri through Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College.
Week-long intensives will be offered four times each year, and students who take any eight courses may graduate Shepherds Academy with a Certificate in Biblical Studies.
All courses may be credited toward associate and bachelor’s degrees at Spurgeon College. Those already possessing an accredited bachelor’s degree may take the same courses toward a Master of Arts or Master of Divinity degree at Midwestern Seminary as long as the student achieves a grade of B or greater.
Any students completing any 8 courses will be awarded the Shepherds Academy Certificate in Biblical Studies.

Cost is only K100,000 book fee per course.
Those needing room and board in Zomba for the week of class will be provided for.
